Resolution Authorizing the Delegate(s) to Vote on Matters Presented During the Illinois Association of Park Districts' (IAPD) Annual Business Meeting Held on January 31, 2026

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois is a member in good standing with the Illinois Association of Park Districts; and
WHEREAS, the District shall attend the IAPD/IPRA Soaring to New Heights Conference at the Chicago Regency Hotel on January 29-31, 2026; and
"Section 3. Each member district shall be entitled to be represented at all
Association meetings and conferences by a delegate or delegates. Delegates of the
Association meetings or conference may include members of the governing boards
of member districts, the Secretary, Attorney, Treasurer, Director or any paid
employee of the member district. Each delegate shall present proper credentials
consisting of a certificate by the Secretary of the member district said delegate or
delegates represent, with seal of office affixed, showing that the governing board at
a special or regular meeting authorized said delegate or delegates to represent said
member district. On all questions each member district represented shall have one
vote which shall be the majority expression of the delegation from that member
district."
"Section 4. No member district shall be entitled to vote by proxy and only delegates of member district shall cast a ballot for that member district."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois direct the President of the District, or their delegate(s) be authorized, empowered, and directed to vote on matters presented during the Association's Annual Business meeting to be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
