APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR PHASE I ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH MICHAEL BAKER INTERNATIONAL, INC. OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS FOR THE RANDALL ROAD OVER UPRR AT KESLINGER ROAD BRIDGE IMPROVEMENTS, KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 25-00587-00-BR

WHEREAS, phase one construction engineering services are necessary for the Randall Road over UPRR at Keslinger Road Bridge Improvements (hereinafter referred to as "Project"); and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the Project, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to perform the phase one engineering services for the Project; and
WHEREAS, Michael Baker International, Inc., 200 West Adams Street, Suite 1800, Chicago, Illinois has engineering and professional expertise and experience, and is willing to perform the phase one engineering services for an amount not to exceed One Million Seven Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Eight Dollars ($1,796,828.00); and
WHEREAS, it is in the County's best interest to enter into a phase one engineering services agreement with Michael Baker International, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement (a copy of which is on file with the County Clerk's Office) with Michael Baker International, Inc. for phase one engineering services for the Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate an amount not to exceed the sum of One Million Seven Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Eight Dollars ($1,796,828.00) to pay for phase one engineering services for the Project and that said funds be paid from Transportation Sales Tax Fund #305, Line Item # 50140 (Engineering Services).
