APPROVING A PHASE III CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CIORBA GROUP, INC. OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS FOR THE PLANK ROAD HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FROM ENGEL ROAD TO WAUGHON ROAD, KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 19-00524-00-SP

WHEREAS, Phase III Construction Engineering services are required for the construction of the Plank Road - Engel Road to Waughon Road Highway Safety Improvement Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Improvement"); and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish the Improvement, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to provide Phase III Construction Engineering services therefor; and
WHEREAS, Ciorba Group, Inc., 5507 N. Cumberland Ave, Ste. 402 Chicago, Illinois 60656 has experience and professional expertise in Phase III Construction Engineering and is willing to perform the required services for an amount not to exceed One Hundred Ninety Nine Thousand One Hundred Seventeen Dollars and Fifty Four Cents ($199,117.54) as set forth in a Phase III Construction Engineering Services agreement (a copy of which is on file with the County Clerk's Office).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized to execute a Phase III Construction Engineering services agreement with Ciorba Group, Inc. for the Improvement on behalf of the County of Kane.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate the not to exceed sum of One Hundred Ninety Nine Thousand One Hundred Seventeen Dollars and Fifty Four Cents ($199,117.54) from Transportation Capital Fund #540, Line Item #50140 (Engineering) to pay for said Phase III Construction Engineering services for the Improvement.
