AUTHORIZING A SECURITY SYSTEM SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THE JUVENILE JUSTICE CENTER

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 3-15-2 of the Unified Code of Corrections [730 ILCS 5/3-15-2], juvenile detention facilities must promptly repair any damaged or nonfunctioning security equipment; and
WHEREAS, Convergint is a member of the Sourcewell Procurement Cooperative and has the expertise, experience, knowledge and resources to maintain and repair the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center's video surveillance system, access controls and control panels; and
WHEREAS, the Juvenile Justice Center desires to enter into a three (3) year service contract with Convergint to maintain and service the Juvenile Justice Center's security system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that Madam Chair is authorized to sign a three (3) year service contract with Convergint to maintain the Juvenile Justice Center's security system commencing August 1, 2024, at a cost of Twenty-One Thousand Five Hundred and Seventy-Seven Dollars ($21,577) for year one and Ten Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty-Nine Dollars ($10,289) each for years two and three.
