Authorizing Appointment of Interim Director of the Department of Human Resources

WHEREAS, the Executive Director of Human Resources has resigned effective September 25, 2026; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Kane County Code 2-48, the Kane County Board will conduct a search and selection for a new Director; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources requires management and staff supervision while the Executive Director position is vacant; and
WHEREAS, Christine Davis, Assistant Director of Human Resources, is a qualified and experienced candidate to assist in the management of the Department of Human Resources during the absence of its executive director; and
WHEREAS, the Chairman of the County Board recommends Christine Davis be authorized to serve as Interim Director of the Department of Human Resources to perform the duties until a permanent executive director is appointed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that Christine Davis is hereby appointed as Interim Director of the Department of Human Resources to perform duties of the Executive Director effective September 25, 2026 and until a permanent executive director is appointed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that Christine Davis’ be paid a salary of $125,000 annually for the duration of the assignment.
