Resolution Approving a Contract with Engineering Resource Associates for Preliminary Engineering and Permitting Services for Deer Valley & Big Rock Creek Restoration at Big Rock Forest Preserve

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, finds it necessary and desirable to retain the services of Engineering Resource Associates, Warrenville, Illinois, for professional services which include engineering and permitting for the restoration of Deer Valley and Big Rock Creek at Big Rock Forest Preserve; and
WHEREAS, the District used a qualification-based selection process to select a consultant that would provide professional services for engineering and permitting; and
WHEREAS, Engineering Resource Associates has submitted a proposal not to exceed $34,390.00 for these services. Additionally, $610.00 shall be set aside as contingency to cover any unanticipated additional costs that may arise during design, for a total project amount of $35,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Forest Preserve District Board of Commissioners of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, retain Engineering Resource Associates, Warrenville, Illinois, to provide preliminary engineering and permitting services for Deer Valley and Big Rock Creek Restoration at Big Rock Forest Preserve, at a cost not to exceed thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000.00).
