Resolution Approving the Purchase of Six (6) Zero Turn Mowers for the Operations Department

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, finds is necessary and desirable to purchase six (6) zero turn mowers to replace two older units for North Operations and four units for South Operations; and
WHEREAS, the District utilized the Sourcewell Joint Purchasing Program to secure the lowest prices; and
WHEREAS, Ralph Helm, Inc., Elgin, Illinois is the authorized local dealer that has been awarded the Sourcewell contract; and
WHEREAS, utilizing the Sourcewell Purchasing Program has realized a 27% reduction to the MSRP for the mowers; and
WHEREAS, the purchase price per mower with additional kits is $16,153.92.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, approve the purchase of six (6) zero turn mowers from Ralph Helm, Inc., Elgin, Illinois, for a total cost not to exceed ninety-six thousand nine hundred twenty-three dollars and fifty-two cents ($96,923.52), be, and hereby is, accepted and approved.
