AUTHORIZING THE ILLINOIS SUPREME COURT DISABILITY AND ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENT FUNDING ALLOCATION

WHEREAS, the 16th Judicial Circuit Court, Kane County, was allocated funding for Disability Accessibility Improvement (DAI) from the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice which provides money to courts for disability and accessibility goods and services necessary to continue the Illinois Supreme Court's Access to Justice (ATJ) initiative; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Judge shall ensure that the funding allocation will be used by the 16th Judicial Circuit Court, Kane County for the purpose of updating equipment and services used to improve the court system; and
WHEREAS, the 16th Judicial Circuit Court, Kane County was allocated by the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice the amount of $8,412.35 (Eight-Thousand Four-Hundred Twelve and Thirty-Five Cents) that will pass through Kane County to then be distributed to the appropriate vendors facilitating the projects; and
WHEREAS, the budget amounts need to be reflected in revenue and expense General Ledger account.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof and hereby is authorized to accept the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice Disability and Accessibility Improvement Funding for the purposes of depositing and expending funds allocated by the Illinois Supreme Court to the 16th Judicial Circuit Court, Kane County, to continue the Illinois Supreme Court's Access to Justice initiatives.
