Resolution Approving a Bid to Purchase and Install Plugs at Brunner Family Forest Preserve

WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and desirable for the Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, to solicit and receive bids for the purchase and installation of wetland plugs at Brunner Family Forest Preserve in Dundee; and
WHEREAS, the District is restoring a 12-acre stretch of newly exposed shoreline along the Fox River, following the 2024 removal of the Carpentersville dam; and
WHEREAS, bids were sought for the planting of 15,000 plugs, spread across 49 species; and
WHEREAS, the qualified, lowest bid was received from Bluestem Ecological Services of Marengo, Illinois, in the amount of $64,215.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, that the bid by Bluestem Ecological Services of Marengo, Illinois, to purchase and install the specified wetland plant plugs in the amount of $64,215 be, and hereby is, accepted and approved.
