AUTHORIZING A MASTER SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR DATA CENTER COLOCATION LEASE WITH SBA EDGE, LLC, PREVIOUSLY NEW CONTINUUM, FOR THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Information Technologies Department is responsible for "Data Center Services" which means providing and maintaining data center facilities, fire suppression systems, redundant power environments, redundant cooling systems, physical security, redundant internal connections, and redundant external connections; and
WHEREAS, Kane County issued an RFP (41-015) for colocation services and New Continuum was selected for a seven (7) year term; and
WHEREAS, our current Master Service agreement with SBA Edge, LLC expires 12/31/2024. The new Master Service Agreement continues until the expiration of all associated Sales Orders which currently is 12/31/2029; and
WHEREAS, the contract calls for the use of funds beyond the present budget year and the County of Kane acknowledges the necessity of the appropriation of such funds; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($136,500) for Fiscal Year 2025 from the Information Technologies budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Master Service Agreement with SBA Edge, LLC previously New Continuum until the expiration of all associated Sales Orders in a not to exceed amount of One Hundred Thirty Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($136,500) for Fiscal Year 2025 with a not to exceed 5% increase for each year thereafter.
