Authorizing Contract Renewal with McGuireWoods Consulting, LLC, for Professional Government Relations Consulting and Legislative Lobbying Services (RFQ# 23-004)

WHEREAS, Kane County has previously solicited a contract for governmental relations consulting and legislative lobbying services through RFQ# 23-004; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 23-206, the Kane County Board awarded a contract for governmental relations consulting and legislative lobbying services to McGuireWoods Consulting, LLC, of Chicago, IL, at a cost of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) per month for a two (2) year term with a mutual option for two (2) one-year renewals upon agreement by both parties; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 25-280, the Kane County Board authorized the Kane County Board Chairman to execute the first one-year contract extension with McGuireWoods Consulting, LLC; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Board desires to exercise the final one (1) year extension with McGuireWoods Consulting, LLC, with no cost increase and service terms and conditions to remain the same as in the existing contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a one (1) year contract extension with McGuireWoods Consulting, LLC, for professional government relations consulting and lobbying services, at a cost of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) per month, in the form attached hereto, subject to the review and advisement of the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.
