AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR AN ENGINEERING FIRM FOR THE MILL CREEK SSA WITH HAMPTON, LENZINI, AND RENWICK, INC. (RFP# 23-016)

WHEREAS, bids were solicited for Engineering Firm Services for the Mill Creek SSA (RFP# 23-016). A total of four (4) RFPs were received by the deadline and one vendor was selected; and
WHEREAS, the most responsive responsible bidder as per documents and specifications was Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR) of Elgin, IL for a three (3) year term with an option of one (1) two (2) year renewal. This is the first and only two (2) year renewal; and
WHEREAS, this contract will cover the engineering firm services for the Mill Creek SSA for the duration of the two-year extension in an amount of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000) per fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, adequate funds are available in the Mill Creek SSA budget; and
WHEREAS, this contract calls for the use of funds beyond the present budget year and the County of Kane acknowledges the necessity of the appropriation of such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is authorized and directed to execute a two-year contract extension with Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR), 380 Shepard Drive, Elgin, IL 60123 for the Mill Creek SSA Engineering Firm Services in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000) per fiscal year.
