RATIFYING AN EMERGENCY PURCHASE AFFIDAVIT TO PURCHASE A 2023 FORD SUPER DUTY F-450 SALT TRUCK FOR THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Building Management Department has requested and received emergency purchase authorization from the Kane County Board Chairman, pursuant to Kane County Code Chapter 2, Article VI, Division 3, Section 2-217(A); and
WHEREAS, there is a global supply chain issue impacting the availability, price, and ability to purchase vehicles pursuant to the bidding requirements of the Kane County Purchasing Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Building Management Department has located one 2023 Ford Super Duty F-450 with Electric Snow Fighter Boss 9'2" V-DXT Plow and Snow Dogg Tail Gate Spreader at Kunes Ford of Antioch, Illinois for the amount of One Hundred and One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Forty-Six Dollars and Twenty-Six cents ($101,946.26).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Emergency Purchase Affidavit, submitted by the Kane County Building Management Department and authorized by the County Board Chairman, is hereby ratified for the purchase of one Ford Super Duty F-450 with Electric Snow Fighter Boss 9'2" V-DXT Plow and Snow Dogg Tail Gate Spreader in the amount of One Hundred and One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Forty-Six Dollars and Twenty-Six cents ($101,946.26) from Kunes Ford 104 West IL Route 173, Antioch, Illinois 60002.
