APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH ITERIS, INC. OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA FOR TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS (TSMO) SERVICES, KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 24-00365-09-EG

WHEREAS, engineering services are necessary to provide assistance with the management of the County's traffic signals and traffic signal systems (hereinafter referred to as "Project"); and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the Project, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to perform traffic signal operation management (hereinafter the "Services"); and
WHEREAS, Iteris, Inc., 1700 Carnegie Avenue, Suite 100, Santa Ana, California 92705-5551 (hereinafter the "Engineer") has experience and professional expertise in management of traffic signals and traffic signal systems and is willing to perform the required Services for an amount not to exceed Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($950,000.00) for a contract term of three years; and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that it is in the County's best interest to enter into an agreement for the services required for the Project with the Engineer, (a copy of which is on file in the office of the Kane County Clerk), (hereinafter the "Agreement").
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Agreement with Iteris Inc. of Santa Ana, California for Traffic Signal Operation Management Engineering services is hereby approved and the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement therefor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate the not to exceed sum of Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($950,000.00) to pay for traffic signal operation management engineering services from for a contract term of three years and that said funds be paid from Transportation Sales Tax Fund #305, Line Item #50140 (Engineering Services).
