AUTHORIZING FUNDING FOR THE STATE'S ATTORNEY COLLABORATIVE DIVERSION BUILDOUT AT THE KANE COUNTY BRANCH COURT FACILITY

WHEREAS, the Kane County Collaborative Diversion team is dedicated to helping individuals who have been marginalized and cycled in and out of the criminal legal system; and
WHEREAS, the State's Attorney new Collaborative Diversion Program is in need of more office space to conduct business; and
WHEREAS, Circuit Clerk has agreed to provide space at the Kane County Branch Court Facility for a buildout of offices at 540 S Randall Road St. Charles, IL 60174 for the Collaborative Diversion team; and
WHEREAS, Resolution #23-156 authorized an agreement extension for architect, engineer, and construction manager at risk services contract(s) with Wight & Company, Healy, Bender, Patton & Been, and R.C. Wegman Construction Company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes the Chairman thereof to enter into an agreement with Healy Bender, Patton, and Been and RC Wegman for the renovation of office space for the State's Attorney's Office Collaborative Diversion program located at 540 S. Randall Road., St. Charles, Illinois in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred and Eighty Six Thousand Dollars ($486,000) from the Capital Fund 500.800.805.72010- building improvements, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) Grant Funds, and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIAO) Grand Funds.
