Authorizing Contract for Consultant Services to Provide an Operational Assessment for Kane Comm

WHEREAS, Kane County issued RFP 26-05-TK for Consulting Services for an Operational Assessment of Kane Comm; and
WHEREAS, the proposal deemed the most responsive and responsible was Derek Poarch and Associates, whose proposal was determined to be in the best interests of Kane County based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the RFP; and
WHEREAS, the term of the contract is up to twelve months and includes the option for up to two (2) one-year extensions if additional services are requested by the Kane County Board; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of these services is $69,061; and
WHEREAS, funding for the project will be sought and is anticipated to be paid from the Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract, subject to the review and advisement of the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office, with Derek Poarch and Associates for consulting services to provide an Operational Assessment of the Kane Comm in an amount not to exceed $69,061.
