Authorizing Option Year 2 Contract Extension of Agreement with Lauterbach & Amen for Accounting Services

WHEREAS, Resolution 24-541 approved a contract between Kane County and Lauterbach & Amen, to provide financial and accounting services to the County’s Finance Department for one year at a at a fixed fee per month with the option to renew for three additional years and the original one-year contract term was for December 1, 2024 through November 30, 2025 for a total of $210,000; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 25-292 approved Option Year 1 of the contract between Kane County and Lauterbach & Amen, for the one-year contract term December 1, 2025 through November 30, 2026 for a total of $218,400; and
WHEREAS, the County requests, and Lauterbach & Amen agrees, to a one-year contract extension, Option Year 2, in the amount of $145,000 for the period December 1, 2026 through November 30, 2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized to execute a one-year extension for Option Year 2, to the agreement with Lauterbach & Amen, LLP.
