Authorizing a Vehicle Replacement Purchase for Animal Control

WHEREAS, Kane County Animal Control (KCAC) needs to replace a 2017 Ford F150 Transit Van due to advanced age, mileage, and increasing cost to repair; and
WHEREAS, KCAC has worked with the Purchasing Department to advertise Bid 26-016-TK (Ford Transit Cargo Van); and
WHEREAS, after receiving responses to Bid 26-016-TK, KCAC has determined that the lowest responsive and responsible bidder is Spirit Ford, Inc., who can deliver one (1), a 2026 Ford F150 Transit Van at a cost of fifty-three thousand three hundred and sixty-three dollars ($53,363.00); and
WHEREAS, this vehicle will meet the growing needs of KCAC by allowing for better transport on all road conditions, ability to tow an emergency trailer or equipment and better suited for emergency road conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board that Kane County Animal Control is hereby authorized to purchase a 2026 Ford F150 Transit Van at a cost of fifty-three thousand three hundred and sixty-three dollars ($53,363.00) from Spirit Ford, Inc in accordance with Bid 26-016-TK.
