APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH PARAMETRIX, INC. OF PARK RIDGE, ILLINOIS TO UPDATE THE KANE COUNTY ROAD IMPROVEMENT IMPACT FEE ORDINANCE AND ITS COMPREHENSIVE ROAD IMPROVEMENT PLAN, KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 25-00580-00-ES

WHEREAS, the Illinois Highway Code - Road Improvement Impact Fees (605 ILCS 5/5-901 et. seq.) requires that the Kane County Road Improvement Impact Fee Ordinance (the "Ordinance") and its Comprehensive Road Improvement Plan (CRIP) be updated at least once every five (5) years; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to update the CRIP and the Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, Parametrix, Inc., 222 S Prospect Avenue, Suite 255, Park Ridge, IL 60068 (hereinafter "Consultant") has experience and professional expertise in preparing updates to the CRIP and the Ordinance and is willing to perform the required services for an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-One Dollars ($449,431.00); and
WHEREAS, it is in the County's best interest to enter into an agreement with the Consultant to provide updates to its CRIP and Ordinance, as mandated by Illinois law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that an agreement to update the Kane County Road Improvement Impact Fee Ordinance and its Comprehensive Road Improvement Plan with Parametrix, Inc. of Park Ridge, Illinois, is approved and that the County Board Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate the sum of Four Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-One Dollars ($449,431.00) to pay for said services and that said funds be paid from County Highway Fund No. 300, Line Item # 50150 (Consulting).
