Resolution Approving the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Estimated Budget for the Purpose of Establishing the 2025 Tax Levy

WHEREAS, it is necessary, per Chapter 35 ILCS 215/4, for the Forest Preserve Commission of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, to determine the amounts of money, exclusive of any portion attributable to the cost of conducting an election required by the general election law, hereafter referred to as election costs, estimated to be necessary to be raised by taxation for the 2026-27 operating year upon the taxable property in the District, the levy year being 2025, with the taxes payable in 2026; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary, as a requirement of law, for the Forest Preserve Commission of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, to make this estimate not less than 20 days prior to the adoption of its aggregate levy.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, that the estimated budget for the 2026-27 operating year is accepted, as Exhibit A, attached.
