Resolution Approving the Surplus Vehicle, Equipment and Furniture Disposal

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois from time to time has certain property, fleet and equipment assets that have reached the limit of useful life; and
WHEREAS, it has been deemed that the District has certain property, fleet and equipment assets that are not needed for municipal purposes and/or are obsolete for the use for which they were acquired; and
WHEREAS, disposal of these assets through auction maximizes the District’s return on investment in such property, fleet, and equipment assets; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that an internet auction is a method through which the District may wish to dispose of these assets as described hereto and made part hereof in Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Forest Preserve District Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois to authorize the disposal of said property, fleet and equipment assets that have been declared surplus through the use of an internet auction.
