Amending Section 2-196(A) of the Kane County Code (Depositories for Funds of County Treasurer/Collector)

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 25-105, the Kane County Board last amended section 2-196(A) of the Kane County Code; and
WHEREAS, Christopher, J. Lauzen, Treasurer and ex-officio Collector of the County of Kane, State of Illinois, pursuant to Statutory authority, has requested this County Board to designate a bank, banks, or other depository in which the funds or monies in his custody as County Treasurer and ex-officio Collector of this County may be deposited; and
WHEREAS, except as otherwise provided in this Ordinance, the Kane County Treasurer requests no other changes to section 2-196(A) of the Kane County Code at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Kane County Board that section 2-196(A) of the Kane County Code, last amended by Ordinance No. 25-105, shall be amended as follows:
1. All references to “Kane County Teachers Credit Union” in section 2-196(A) of the Kane County Code shall be changed to “Consumers Credit Union.”
2. “CIBC Bank” shall be removed as a depository under the heading for “GENEVA TOWNSHIP” and the heading for “ST. CHARLES TOWNSHIP” and added as a depository under the heading for “OTHER” in section 2-196(A) of the Kane County Code.
3. All other provisions of section 2-496(A) of the Kane County Code unaffected by this Ordinance shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
