AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL FUNDS WITH FACILITIES SURVEY, LLC. (FSI) FOR THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT'S WORK ORDER SOFTWARE MODULE FOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT

WHEREAS, the Building Management Department is responsible for maintaining all County-owned buildings within the County of Kane; and
WHEREAS, the CMS Core Annual software was renewed through Resolution No. 24-141; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for an additional software module for CMS View for project management that is offered by Facilities Survey, LLC. (FSI) our current work order software; and
WHEREAS, Kane County code section 2-216 provides that the purchase of computer software, computer hardware, and computer databases that have been competitively procured and that require additional proprietary licensing, software integrations, software development, software maintenance, computer hardware maintenance, database maintenance, software support services, database support services and computer hardware support services are not suitable for competitive procurement and may be authorized for purchase. Purchase over thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) must be authorized by the County Board; and
WHEREAS, the service agreement calls for the use of funds beyond the present budget year and the County of Kane acknowledges the necessity of the appropriation of such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Building Management Department is authorized to purchase an additional software module for CMS View for project management from Facilities Survey, LLC. (FSI) in the amount not to exceed Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($16,500). The new annual spend allowance for future years remaining in the service agreement will be Twenty Seven Thousand Two Hundred and Sixty Six Dollars ($27,266) with a not to exceed 2% increase for each year thereafter for three (3) years.
