Resolution Approving Archery Permit Fees at the Mill Creek Archery Range

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, finds it is necessary and desirable to evaluate archery range permit fees on a regular basis; and

 

WHEREAS, the District has evaluated regional agencies that provide similar services related to archery ranges; and

 

WHEREAS, the District has established new procedures and permit fees for archery range use, similar to the fees charged at other public-owned archery ranges; and

 

WHEREAS, the permit fees will help offset the costs associated with ongoing archery range maintenance, operation, and safety improvements; and

 

WHEREAS, the annual archery range permits for residents are $40 each fiscal year (July-June). Resident permits purchased after December 31 will be reduced to $20 and valid for half of a fiscal year (January-June). Nonresident annual range permits are $65 each fiscal year (July-June). Nonresident permits purchased after December 31 will be reduced to $35 after December 31 and valid for half of the fiscal year (July-June). Daily permits are also available for purchase and are $10 for each resident and $20 for each nonresident.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, that the Mill Creek Archery Range permit fees as described are hereby authorized and approved.
