Budget Adjustment for Transfer of Funds from the Elgin Community Development Block Grant (Elgin CDBG) Fund #401

WHEREAS, Fund #410 - the Elgin Community Development Block Grant (Elgin CDBG) Fund, was an intergovernmental agreement between Kane County and the City of Elgin directing Kane County to administer the Elgin CDBG annual grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and
WHEREAS, the agreement between Kane County and the City of Elgin was terminated by the City of Elgin in FY2025 with a balance of $1,783.24; and
WHEREAS, Fund #410 be closed and balance transferred to Fund #401 - Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the remaining balances in Fund #410 - Elgin CDBG Fund be closed out to Fund #401 - CDBG Fund, that the appropriation adjustments and related cash transfers listed below be made to the FY 2026 budget, and that Fund #410 be closed as of October 13, 2026.
