Authorizing a Budget Adjustment for the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office Weed and Seed Program

WHEREAS, the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office has grant funds within its budget for the Weed and Seed Program to be used for the Community Prosecution Unit to achieve the goals of having a community presence to reduce crime, improve the quality of life for residents, and provide resources at community events in partnership with the Police Departments and Community Organizations within Kane County; and
WHEREAS, such funds were available within the State’s Attorney’s Office’s budget but were unallocated in the FY2023 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office seeks a budget adjustment to expend budgeted but unallocated funds in the amount of Fourteen Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty-Five Dollars ($14,535.00) to provide supplies and services for the Community Prosecution Unit at community events and forums.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the following budget adjustment for FY2023 State’s Attorney’s Office is authorized:
