APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR PHASE II ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH BAXTER & WOODMAN, INC. OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS FOR THE GALLIGAN ROAD IMPROVEMENTS FROM BINNIE ROAD TO FREEMAN ROAD, KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 21-00532-00-CH

WHEREAS, Phase II Engineering services are required for the proposed Kane County Highway No. 6 (Galligan Road) from Freeman Road to Binnie Road Improvement Project (Kane County Section No. 21-00532-00-CH), (herein after referred to as the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish the Project, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to provide Phase II Engineering services therefor; and
WHEREAS, Baxter & Woodman, Inc., 8678 Ridgefield Road, Crystal Lake, Illinois 60012 has experience and professional expertise in Phase II Engineering and is willing to perform the required Project services for an amount not to exceed One Million Three Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars ($1,372,827.00) as set forth in a Phase II Engineering services agreement (a copy of which is on file with the County Clerk's Office).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the County of Kane approve and enter into a Phase II Engineering services agreement with Baxter & Woodman, Inc. for the Project and that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized to execute a Phase II Engineering services agreement with Baxter & Woodman, Inc. for the Project and any other associated documentation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board hereby appropriates Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) from the North Impact Fee Fund #558, Line Item #50140 (Engineering Services) and Six Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars ($622,827.00) from the Transportation Sales Tax Fund #305, Line Item #50140 (Engineering Services) for a total sum not to exceed One Million Three Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Eight Hund...
