APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR PHASE I ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH GFT INFRASTRUCTURE, INC. OF SCHAUMBURG, ILLINOIS FOR THE BURLINGTON ROAD AT SILVER GLEN ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT, KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 25-00584-00-CH

WHEREAS, Phase I engineering services are necessary for the Burlington Road at Silver Glen Road Intersection Improvements (hereinafter referred to as "Project"); and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the Project, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to perform the Phase I engineering services for the Project; and
WHEREAS, GFT Infrastructure, Inc., 1475 E. Woodfield Road, Suite 600, Schaumburg, Illinois 60173, has environmental engineering and professional expertise and experience and is willing to perform the Phase I engineering services for an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Seventy-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars ($379,682.00); and
WHEREAS, it is in the County's best interest to enter into a Phase I engineering services agreement with GFT Infrastructure, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement (a copy of which is on file with the County Clerk's Office) with GFT Infrastructure, Inc. for Phase I engineering services for the Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate a sum not to exceed Three Hundred Seventy-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars ($379,682.00); to pay for Phase I engineering services for the Project and those said funds be paid from Motor Fuel Tax Fund #302, Line Item # 50140 (Engineering Services).
