Resolution Approving a Bid for the Resurfacing of Cart Paths Along Holes 10-18 at the Hughes Creek Golf Club In Elburn, IL.

WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and desirable for the Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, to authorize bids for the resurfacing of the cart paths along Holes 10-18 at Hughes Creek Golf Club in Elburn; and

 

WHEREAS, the District conducted a formal bid process for the improvements; and

 

WHEREAS, the qualified, lowest bidder is Obsidian Asphalt Paving, of West Chicago, Illinois, with a base bid of $212,732.04. Additionally, a 10% contingency of $21.273.20 shall be set aside to cover any unanticipated additional costs that may arise during construction, for a total contract amount not to exceed $234,005.24.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, that the qualified, lowest bid from Obsidian Asphalt Paving of West Chicago, Illinois, for $212,732.04, plus a contingency of $21,273.20, for a total contract amount not to exceed $234,005.24 be, and hereby is, accepted and approved.
