Resolution Approving a Bid for the Installation of Insulation at the Natural Resource Management Facility

WHEREAS, funds were budgeted in fiscal year 2026/27 to insulate a portion of the cold storage building at the Natural Resource Management Facility; and
WHEREAS, temperature control is critical for the viability of seed stored and processed in that building as well as for the protection of equipment storage; and
WHEREAS, bids were sought for the installation of spray foam insulation for both the exterior walls as well as the roofline of the building; and
WHEREAS, the lowest qualified bid was received from Anchor Building Solutions Inc of Richmond, IL in the amount of $25,375 for the base bid and option 2. Additionally, $2,500 will be set aside as contingency to cover any unforeseen costs that may arise during the project, for a total not exceed of $27,875.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois that the bid submitted by Anchor Building Solutions Inc., in the amount of $25,375 plus a contingency of $2,500 for a total project cost not to exceed $27,875 be, and hereby is, accepted and approved.
