AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH ABBEY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. FOR THE SHERIFF IMPOUND PARKING LOT PROJECT FOR THE KANE COUNTY BUILDING MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (BID# 26-028-TL)

WHEREAS, bids have been solicited for the Kane County Building Management Department Sheriff Impound Parking Lot Project (BID# 26-028-TL). A total of four (4) bids were received by the April 21, 2026 deadline; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, as per bid documents and specifications was Abbey Construction Company Inc., 1949 County Line Rd, Aurora, IL 60502; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for the duration of the Sheriff Impound Parking Lot Project in an amount not to exceed One Million Six Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand Two Hundred Forty-Seven Dollars ($1,624,247); and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted and will be paid from various funds including Building Management Capital (500.800.805.72010), Building Improvements (125.800.810.72010), and various funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Abbey Construction Company, Inc., 1949 County Line Rd, Aurora, IL 60502 for the Sheriff Impound Parking Lot Project for the Building Management Department in the amount not to exceed One Million Six Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand Two Hundred Forty-Seven Dollars ($1,624,247).
