Authorizing a Contract for the Building Management Department with Lite Construction, Inc. for the Kane County Adult Justice Center Kitchen & Laundry Improvements (BID# 25-00-TL)

WHEREAS, bids have been solicited for the Kane County Adult Justice Center Kitchen and Laundry Improvements (BID# 25-00-TL). A total of seven (7) bids were received by the September 23, 2025 deadline; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, as per bid documents and specifications is Lite Construction, Inc., 711 S. Lake Street Montgomery, IL 60538; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the Kane County Adult Justice Center Kitchen and Laundry Improvements Project will be a not to exceed Two Million One Hundred Sixty-Four Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($2,164,200); and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted and will be paid from the Building Management Capital fund- 500.800.805.72010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Lite Construction, Inc., 711 S. Lake Street Montgomery, IL 60538 for the Kane County Adult Justice Center Kitchen and Laundry Improvements Project in an amount not to exceed Two Million One Hundred Sixty Four Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($2,164,200) ($200,000 contingency funds, $260,000 Laundry Equipment Allowance, and $30,000 in sanitary pipe liner allowance).
