Authorizing a Contract for the Building Management Department with Kluber Architects & Engineers for Professional Services Related to the Kane County Adult Justice Center Kitchen & Laundry Improvements

WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the Kane County Adult Justice Center Kitchen and Laundry Improvements Project (BID#25-009-TL). The lowest responsive responsible bidder, as per bid documents and specifications was Lite Construction, Inc. and was authorized in Resolution #25-396; and
WHEREAS, due to the magnitude and scope of this project, professional services are needed to assist with overseeing this project; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act (50ILCS 510/4) Kane County has established a satisfactory relationship for services with Kluber Architects & Engineers; and
WHEREAS, Kluber Architects & Engineers has submitted a proposal in the amount of Fifty Five Thousand Seven Hundred Ten Dollars ($55,710) to provide the Professional Services for the Kane County Adult Justice Center Kitchen and Laundry Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, accordingly, appropriate funds have been budgeted in the FY26 Building Management budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Kluber Architects & Engineers, 41 W. Benton Street, Aurora, IL 60506 for the Kane County Adult Justice Center Kitchen and Laundry Improvements Project in an amount not to exceed Fifty Five Thousand Seven Hundred Ten Dollars ($55,710).
