Ordinance of the Board of Commissioners for the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Illinois for the Levy of Taxes for the Fiscal Year Beginning July 1 A.D. 2025 and Ending June 30, 2026 for the: Construction & Development Fund

     BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Illinois:

 

SECTION 1.  That there is required to be raised by taxation and that there is levied upon all taxable property within the territorial limits of said Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Illinois, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026, the total sum of Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ------ $4,500,000.00.                                                                                                                              

SECTION 2.  That the amount levied for each object and purpose is placed in a separate column under the heading "Amount to be Derived from Taxes", which appears over same, and being as follows, to wit:

 

As complied and attached hereto as Exhibit A;

 

SECTION 3.  That the Secretary-Treasurer of said Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Illinois, be and he/she is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Kane County, a duly certified copy of this Ordinance, and said County Clerk of Kane County is hereby directed to cause the aforesaid amount of money to be extended up and against the taxable property within the territorial limits of said Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Illinois, in accordance with law.

 

SECTION 4.  That if any section, subsection or sentence of this Ordinance shall for any reason be held invalid or to be unconstitutional, such finding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Ordinance.

 

SECTION 5.  This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and approval, as required by law.
