Authorizing a Contract for Camera and Access Control Systems for the Kane County Information Technologies and Building Management Department with 1.) Alarm Detection Systems, Inc. (ADS), 2.) Scientel Solutions, LLC, and 3.) Convergint Technologies, LLC (RFP# 26-013-DH)

WHEREAS, proposals have been solicited for Camera and Access Control Systems by the Kane County Information Technologies and Building Management Department (RFP# 26-013-DH), and a total of eight (8) proposals were received by the March 24, 2026 deadline; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Information Technologies Department works with various Offices and Departments regarding security and building access systems to promote consistency and efficiency in the operation of such systems, and certain Offices and Departments are responsible for costs associated with these systems, which are budgeted within their respective Office or Department budgets; and
WHEREAS, the most responsive and responsible proposers were: (1) Alarm Detection Systems, Inc., Aurora, Illinois; (2) Scientel Solutions, LLC, Aurora, Illinois; and (3) Convergint Technologies, LLC, Hoffman Estates, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the contract term shall be for three (3) years, beginning upon execution by the Kane County Board Chairman, with two (2) optional two (2)-year renewal terms, which may be exercised successively upon mutual agreement of the parties; and
WHEREAS, adequate funds have been budgeted and are available in the FY2026 Kane County operating budgets; and
WHEREAS, the contract will require the expenditure of funds beyond the current fiscal year, and the County of Kane acknowledges the necessity of appropriating such funds in future fiscal years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute contracts with:
1.) Alarm Detection Systems, Inc., 1111 Church Road, Aurora, Illinois 60505,
2.) Scientel Solutions, LLC, 2021 North Eola Road, Aurora, Illinois 60502, and
3.) Convergint Technologies, LLC, 2000 Center Drive, Suite 315, Hoffman Estates, Illinois 60192
for Camera and Access Control Systems for a three (3) year term, with two (2) optional two (2)-year renewals, upon mutual agreement of the parties, in an amount not to exceed Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000) per fiscal year.
