Authorizing an Approval to Enter into Agreement with Metopio for Kane County Community Health Data Dashboard Development

WHEREAS, the Kane County Health Department is responsible for conducting community health assessment, planning, evaluation, and reporting activities to improve the health and well-being of Kane County residents; and
WHEREAS, Kane County and the Kane County Health Department recognize the importance of providing accessible, timely, and actionable public health data to community members, stakeholders, decision-makers, and partner organizations; and
WHEREAS, the Community Health Data Dashboard will serve as the centralized platform for accessing, visualizing, and communication community health data, including information from Community Health Assessments and Community Health Improvement Plans, survey findings, and other public health data sources; and
WHEREAS, a competitive request for proposals was developed and released through the Kane County Purchasing Department; and
WHEREAS, Metopio was determined to be the most qualified firm to provide these services based upon its demonstrated experience, existing partnerships with Kane County, and ability to enhance and continue the current Kane Health Atlas platform without the need for data migration, platform development, or implementation of a new system; and
WHEREAS, the enhanced platform will support ongoing Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan activities and will strengthen data-informed decision-making, community engagement, and public access to health information throughout Kane County; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of agreement with Metopio for dashboard enhancement and first-year services is Sixty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($66,500.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes the Kane County Chairman to sign and enter into an agreement with Metopio for the total of Sixty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($66,500.00) to serve as the vendor for the Kane Health Atlas Community Health Data Dashboard.
