Authorizing a Contract for Building Management Flooring & Carpeting Services with TSI Commercial Floor Covering, Inc. & Angstrom LLC (BID# 25-029-DH)

WHEREAS, Kane County has solicited and received three (3) bids (BID# 25-029-DH) for facilities maintained by Building Management throughout the County of Kane; and
WHEREAS, Building Management outsources Flooring and Carpeting Services which cannot be performed in-house by County staff; and
WHEREAS, the responsive and responsible bidders for Flooring and Carpeting Services are 1.) TSI Commercial Floor Covering, Inc. of Champaign, IL, & 2.) Angstrom LLC, of Chicago, IL; and
WHEREAS, TSI Commercial Floor Covering, Inc. will be the primary and Angstrom LLC, will be the secondary; and
WHEREAS, this is a three (3) year contract, with two (2) optional mutually agreed upon one (1) year extensions as outlined in the bid specifications; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the Building Management Flooring & Carpeting Services will be not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) per fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted and will be paid from the Building Management Capital Building Improvements fund 500.800.805.72010; and
WHEREAS, the contract calls for the use of funds beyond the present budget year and the County of Kane acknowledges the necessity of the appropriation of such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a three (3) year contract with 1.) TSI Commercial Floor Covering, Inc., 3611 N. Staley Road, Champaign, IL 61822, & 2.) Angstrom LLC, 159 N. Sangamon St. Unit 316, Chicago IL, 60607, for Flooring & Carpeting Services on an as-needed basis for facilities maintained by Building Management throughout the County of Kane for an approved three (3) year term in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) per fiscal year.
