Approving an Agreement with Atlas Technical Consultants, LLC of Chicago, Illinois for Network Operations Management Engineering Services, Kane County Section No. 24-00365-05-EG

WHEREAS, consultant services are necessary to provide assistance with the management of the County’s traffic signals and traffic signal systems and operation of the system’s network infrastructure (hereinafter referred to as “Project”); and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the Project, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional traffic systems engineering firm to perform network infrastructure operations, management, monitoring and reporting for the County’s traffic signals and signal system network, (hereinafter the “services”) for the Project; and
WHEREAS, Atlas Technical Consultants, LLC, 100 S. Wacker Drive, Suite 400, Chicago, Illinois 60606 (hereinafter the "Engineer") has experience and professional expertise in the services and is willing to perform the services for an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($525,000.00) for a contract period of three years; and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that it is in the County's best interest to enter into an agreement for the required services with the Engineer, (a copy of which is on file in the office of the Kane County Clerk), (hereinafter the “Agreement”).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Agreement with Atlas Technical Consultants, LLC is hereby approved and that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement with Atlas Technical Consultants, LLC of Chicago, Illinois for the Project Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate the not to exceed sum of Five Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($525,000.00) to pay for the Project services for a contract term of three years and that said funds be paid from Transportation Sales Tax Fund #305, Line Item #50140 (Engineering Services).
