Authorizing an Agreement for Microsoft Enterprise Software Licensing and Software Assurance for the Information Technologies Department (Agreement #25-448DOIT-TELEC-P-80070)

WHEREAS, the Information Technologies Department maintains Microsoft software licensing for County offices and departments, including desktop and server operating systems, productivity applications, client access licenses, and associated Software Assurance; and
WHEREAS, the required licensing is available through CDW Government LLC under the State of Illinois Sourcewell Participating Agreement 25-448DOIT-TELEC-P-80070 and the State of Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology Microsoft Volume Licensing - Custom Enterprise Agreement State and Local - No. 000-dbeale-S-623; and
WHEREAS, the contract calls for the use of funds during this fiscal year and additional budget years and Kane County acknowledges the necessity of the appropriation of such funds; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Information Technologies Department is hereby authorized to obtain Microsoft enterprise software licensing and Software Assurance through agreements with Microsoft Corporation and CDW Government LLC for a period not to exceed four (4) years, at a cost not to exceed Five Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($590,000.00) per fiscal year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Information Technologies Department is hereby authorized to administer the agreements and related enrollments and process licensing purchases, including annual license reconciliation purchases, within the approved scope, appropriations, and expenditure limits.
