Authorizing a Professional Services Proposal with Wight and Company for the Elgin Satellite Health Department Office Renovation Design

WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Kane County Health Department to renovate areas within their office in the Elgin Satellite Health Department in Elgin, Illinois to utilize the office space more effectively; and
WHEREAS, proposals were solicited for statements of interest and qualifications for Architect, Engineer and Construction Manager services (RFQ# 42-020); and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 25-077 authorized a contract extension for Architect, Engineer, and Construction Manager at Risk Services Contract(s) with Wight & Company; and
WHEREAS, a professional services proposal for the Elgin Satellite Health Department Office Renovation Design was received from Wight and Company for an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($357,000); and
WHEREAS, this project has sufficient funds budgeted in line items 350.580.580.72010 Health Department and 500.800.805.50150 Contractual Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Wight & Company, 2500 North Frontage Road, Darien, Illinois 60561 for the professional services proposal for the Elgin Satellite Health Department Office Renovation Design in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($357,000) from fund line items 350.580.580.72010 Health Department and 500.800.805.50150 Contractual Services Capital.
