Amending Resolution No. 25-299 Development Department Furniture Project to Include Additional Costs Incurred (Contract# R240117)

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 25-299 authorizes the amount of $144,985 for the purchase of Furniture, Installation, and Related Services through OMNIA’s The Hon Company, LLC Contract No. R240117; and
WHEREAS, before the Development Department Furniture project was about to start the only elevator in Building A failed and would be down for several months; and
WHEREAS, the furniture vendor provided estimates to both haul in new furniture and haul out old furniture by way of the staircase in Building A for a total amount of Twelve Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($12,100).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Building Management Department be authorized to spend an additional Twelve Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($12,100) on the Development Department Furniture Project with Midwest Office Interiors (a reseller of The Hon Company, LLC Contract# R240117) due to the elevator being down in Building A bringing the total project authorization amount to One Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand Eighty-Five Dollars ($157,085).
