Approving the Purchase of One (1) 2026 Falcon 2T1B Propane Fire Asphalt Repair Hot Box for the Kane County Division of Transportation

WHEREAS, pursuant to Kane County Resolution No. 22-266, the County of Kane and Sourcewell entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA”) to procure materials, services, supplies, equipment, construction and construction-related services; and
WHEREAS, quotes have been solicited and received for one (1) 2026 Falcon 2T1B Propane Fire Asphalt Repair Hot Box (hereinafter the “Hot Box”); and
WHEREAS, Midwest Paving Equipment, Inc. of Glen Ellyn, Illinois of was the selected vendor for the Hot Box under the Sourcewell authorized cooperative agreement with the cost of the one (1) Hot Box totaling Forty-Three Thousand Seven Dollars ($43,007.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the offer for said Hot Box from Midwest Paving Equipment, Inc. in the amount of Forty-Three Thousand Seven Dollars ($43,007.00) is accepted and that the County of Kane purchase said Hot Box from Midwest Paving Equipment, Inc. of Glen Ellyn, Illinois with payment to be appropriated from Motor Fuel Local Option Fund #304, Line Item #70110 (Machinery and Equipment).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board Chairman is authorized and directed to execute any documents relating to the Hot Box purchase order.
