Authorizing a Contract for Consultant and Project Management Services with Defin.Net Solutions, Inc. for the Information Technologies Department (RFP# 26-018-TL)

WHEREAS, the Kane County Information Technologies Department issued RFP# 26-018-TL for Consulting and Project Management services for IT projects, and a total of nine (9) proposals were received by the proposal due date of March 13, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the proposal deemed most responsive and responsible is that of Defin.net Solutions, Inc., of Orland Park, IL, whose proposal was determined to be in the best interest of the County based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the RFP; and
WHEREAS, this is a three (3)-year contract, with two (2) optional two (2)-year extensions upon mutual agreement of the parties, as outlined in the RFP specifications; and
WHEREAS, the cost of these services shall be in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000) per fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted and will be paid from various Information Technologies funds for contractual and consulting services, as well as other applicable funds; and
WHEREAS, the contract calls for the use of funds beyond the present budget year, and the County of Kane acknowledges the necessity for future appropriations of such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a three (3)-year contract with Defin.net Solutions, Inc., 17005 Steeplechase Parkway, Orland Park, IL 60467, for Consulting and Project Management services for IT projects in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000) per fiscal year.
