Approving a Contract for Construction with SKC Construction, Inc. of West Dundee, Illinois for 2024 Kane County HMA and PCC Crack Sealing Project, Kane County Section No. 24-00000-02-GM

WHEREAS, the Kane County Division of Transportation has solicited and received bids for the work and construction described as:
KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 24-00000-02-GM
2024 KANE COUNTY HMA AND PCC CRACK SEALING PROJECT
(hereinafter the “Project”)
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder for the Project is:
SKC CONSTRUCTION, INC. OF WEST DUNDEE, ILLINOIS
with a low bid of
$264,663.80
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that a contract for the Project described hereinabove shall be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder in the amount as indicated hereinabove and that the County Board Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract and contractor’s bond therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated Two Hundred Sixty Four Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Three and 80/100 Dollars ($264,663.80) from Local Option Fund #304, Line Item #52050 (Repairs and Maintenance - Cracksealing) to pay for the Project.
