Approving an Agreement with WBK Engineering, LLC of St. Charles, Illinois for Phase III Construction Engineering Services for Kirk Road at Douglas Road Intersection Improvement, Kane County Section No. 24-00377-01-CH

WHEREAS, Phase III Construction Engineering services are required for the Kane County Highway No. 5, Kirk Road at Douglas Road Intersection Improvement (hereinafter referred to as the “Project”); and
WHEREAS, in order to successfully accomplish the Project, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to provide Phase III Construction Engineering services therefor; and
WHEREAS, WBK Engineering, LLC, 116 W. Main Street, Suite 201, St. Charles, Illinois has experience and professional expertise in Phase III Construction Engineering and is willing to perform the required Phase III Construction Engineering services for the Project for an amount not to exceed One Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand Nine Hundred Five and 78/100 Dollars ($194,905.78) as set forth in the Phase III Construction Engineering Services agreement (a copy of which is on file with the County Clerk’s Office).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board hereby approves of a Phase III Construction Engineering services agreement between the County of Kane and WBK Engineering, LLC for the Project, and that the Kane County Board Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute the aforementioned agreement and any other associated documentation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate the not to exceed sum of One Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand Nine Hundred Five and 78/100 Dollars from Transportation Sales Tax Fund #305, Line Item #50140 (Engineering Services) to pay for said Phase III Construction Engineering services for the Project.
