Authorizing Annual Renewal of CityView License and Maintenance with Harris Corporation

WHEREAS, the Kane County Information Technologies Department has responsibility for maintaining and supporting the permitting and licensing software system utilized by several Kane County departments; and
WHEREAS, the Information Technologies expends funds for said licensing and maintenance costs and for which the Kane County Division of Transportation, Kane County Health Department, and the Kane County Development Department are charged back by IT for a percentage of costs related to use of the system; and
WHEREAS, the licensing and maintenance costs for fiscal year 2024 include new licensing for Electronic Pan Review in addition to the annual renewal for maintenance for CityView Desktop as follows:
CityView Annual Maintenance $98,345.30
Gold Maintenance Membership $45,616.59
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Information Technologies Department is authorized to pay the annual contract renewal at a cost not to exceed One Hundred Forty Three Thousand, Nine Hundred and Sixty One Dollars and Eight Nine Cents ($143,961.89) for fiscal year 2024 with a not to exceed 10% increase for each year thereafter.
