Authorizing Execution of Collective Bargaining Agreement Between County of Kane, Kane County Sheriff, and Policeman’s Benevolent Labor Committee (Kane County Sheriff’s Office Maintenance and Janitor Unit)

WHEREAS, the collective bargaining agreement ("CBA") between the County of Kane ("County"), the Kane County Sheriff ('Sheriff"), and the Policeman's Benevolent Labor Committee (Sheriff’s Office Maintenance and Janitor Unit) ("PBLC") expired on December 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the County, the Sheriff, and the PBLC have been engaged in collective bargaining agreement negotiations concerning wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment in relation to the Sheriff’s Office Maintenance and Janitor bargaining unit; and
WHEREAS, the parties have reached an agreement concerning wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment to be included in a new Collective Bargaining Agreement ("CBA").
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to enter into, on behalf of the County of Kane, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, dated January 1, 2023, through November 30, 2025, by and between the Sheriff of Kane County, the County of Kane, and the Policeman's Benevolent Labor Committee, in relation to the Sheriff’s Office Maintenance and Janitor bargaining unit, a copy of which agreement is on file at the County Board Office and the Kane County State's Attorney's Office, and which shall also be filed with the office of the County Clerk and the Kane County Auditor upon execution.
