Approving a Phase III Construction Engineering Services Agreement with Alfred Benesch and Company, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois for the Randall Road at Hopps Road Grade Separation Project, Kane County Section No. 19-00511-00-CH

WHEREAS, phase three construction engineering services are necessary for the Randall Road at Hopps Road Grade Separation Project (hereinafter referred to as “Project”); and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the Project, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to perform the phase three construction engineering services for the Project; and
WHEREAS, Alfred Benesch and Company Inc., 35 W. Wacker Dr. #3300, Chicago, Illinois 60601 has civil engineering and professional expertise and experience, and is willing to perform the phase three construction engineering services for an amount not to exceed Five Million One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars ($5,199,364.00); and
WHEREAS, it is in the County's best interest to enter into a phase three construction engineering services agreement with Alfred Benesch and Company, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement (a copy of which is on file with the County Clerk's Office) with Alfred Benesch and Company, Inc. for phase three construction engineering services for the Project and any other associated documentation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate an amount not to exceed the sum of Five Million One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars ($5,199,364.00); to pay for phase three construction engineering services for the Project and that said funds be paid from Motor Fuel Tax Fund #302, Line Item #50140 (Engineering Services).
