Authorizing a Contract Extension with Langton Group for the Mill Creek SSA Landscape Maintenance Services Program (Tree Related Services) (BID# 24-025-TK)

WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the Landscaping Maintenance Services Program (BID# 24-025-TK) for the Mill Creek Special Service Area. A total of four (4) bids were received by the February 23, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. deadline; and
WHEREAS, the responsive and responsible bidder for the Landscape Maintenance Services Program (Tree Related Services) is Langton Group of Woodstock, IL; and
WHEREAS, this resolution authorizes the first one (1) year extension of the three (3) one (1) year extensions available; and
WHEREAS, accordingly, appropriate funds have been budgeted for the FY2026 Mill Creek SSA budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract extension with Langton Group, 4510 Dean St. Woodstock, IL 60098 for the Landscape Maintenance Services Program (Tree Related Services) on an as needed basis based on the prices cited in their contract for the Mill Creek Special Service Area for an approved one (1) year contract extension in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) per fiscal year.
