Approving a Contract for Construction with SKC Construction, Inc. of West Dundee, Illinois for the 2026 Kane County HMA Crack Sealing Project, Kane County Section No. 26-00000-03-GM

WHEREAS, the Kane County Division of Transportation has solicited and received bids for the work described as:
KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 26-00000-03-GM
2026 KANE COUNTY HMA CRACK SEALING PROJECT
(hereinafter the “Project”)
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder for the Project is:
SKC CONSTRUCTION, INC. OF WEST DUNDEE, ILLINOIS
with a low bid of
$403,251.60
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that a contract for the Project described hereinabove shall be awarded to the lowest bidder, SKC Construction, Inc. of West Dundee, Illinois in the amount as indicated hereinabove and that the County Board Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract and contractor’s bond therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that there is hereby appropriated Four Hundred Three Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-One and 60/100 Dollars ($403,251.60) from Motor Fuel Local Option Fund #304, Line Item #52050 (Repairs and Maint - Cracksealing) to pay for the Project.
